Umax UK ltd. was founded in 2000. It is a subsidiary of the European Headquarters Umax Systems GmbH (USG), located in Willich, Germany. USG was founded in 1993 as European Headquarters of Umax Data Systems (UDS), Taiwan, and is the logistic and marketing center for the European market with a network of over 40 distributors and subsidiaries in France, UK, Czech, Poland and Russia.

The company's main focus lies on office automation systems (in cooperation with Avision), energy saving lamps, house appliances and security systems (in cooperation with Holux).
